The International Lecture on “Transforming Advanced Education through Micro-credentials” was held on April 19, 2024 from 10:00 to 12:00 at Lecture Hall E42, Building No. 4, Faculty of Education, Ehime University. Professor Masahiro Inoue of the Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University was invited to give a lecture Transforming Higher Education through Micro-credentials. In addition, a designated discussion session was held with Professor Masahiro Inoue of Keio University, Professor Greg Tabios Pawilen of the University of the Philippines Los Baños Shaping the Future of Microcredentials in Higher Education, and Deputy Director Toshiki Nakai of the Ehime University Education and Student Services Organization Discussion on Micro-Credentials, followed by a question and answer session.
There were 63 participants from Japan and abroad who attended the lecture and the designated discussion. There were 8 personal participants and 55 remote participants, 44 from Japan and 11 from overseas. Amic International Co., Ltd. provided simultaneous interpretation from English to Japanese and from Japanese to English for the lectures and designated discussions.
We were able to share a great deal of information through these presentations and the discussion. We would like to thank the speakers, the participants and everyone involved.
